At Eazy Vapes, we take our legal responsibilities seriously. UK law states that nicotine vaping products can only be sold to customers aged 18 or over. To comply with these regulations, all new customers must complete an age verification check before their first order can be processed.
The good news is that, in most cases, this happens automatically in the background and takes just a few seconds. Most customers won't need to do anything at all.
Why Do We Verify Your Age?
Age verification is a legal requirement for all UK retailers selling age-restricted products online. These regulations help prevent underage access to vaping products and are enforced by UK authorities, including Trading Standards.
Unfortunately, we cannot dispatch orders until we have successfully confirmed that the purchaser is aged 18 or over.
How Does Age Verification Work?
We use 1account, one of the UK's leading age verification providers, to securely verify your age.
During the verification process, 1account may check trusted public and private data sources, including:
- UK electoral roll records
- Mobile phone records
- Credit reference information
- Other official databases where applicable
The system only performs the checks necessary to confirm your age, and for the vast majority of customers, verification is completed instantly without any action required.
What Do I Need To Do?
For most customers, nothing.
Simply place your order as normal. Our age verification checks run automatically in the background during checkout.
If additional verification is required, you'll be notified on the order confirmation (Thank You) page immediately after placing your order. Simply follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.
What Information Is Required?
To complete age verification, you'll need to provide:
- Your full name
- Your current billing address
- Your mobile phone number
Please ensure your billing address matches your current residential address, as this is used during the verification process.
In some cases, we may also ask for your date of birth if additional information is needed to verify your age.
Once you've successfully verified your age, you won't normally need to do it again unless you change important account details such as your name, address or mobile number.
What Happens If My Age Can't Be Verified?
In a small number of cases, our automated checks may not be able to confirm your age.
If this happens, we'll ask you to provide:
- A clear photo of a valid government-issued ID (such as a passport or driving licence)
- A selfie for identity verification
You'll receive instructions on how to securely submit these documents if they're required.
Our team reviews manual verification requests as quickly as possible during business hours, with most completed within a few hours. Requests submitted in the evenings or on weekends may take slightly longer.
For your privacy and security, we do not permanently store copies of your identification documents after verification is complete.
If we are unable to verify your age, your order will be cancelled, and a full refund will be issued.
Please note that age verification delays may affect dispatch times.
Will This Affect My Credit Score?
No.
Our age verification process uses only a soft search. Although you may receive a notification from your credit reference agency (such as Experian or Equifax), this check is purely for identity and age verification.
It does not affect your credit score, credit rating or ability to obtain credit in the future.
